Neighbourhood Watch

Who cut who

slowly dead?

Me, or my neighbour?

Who gripped the handle,

who gathered himself

around the wound?

Who convalesced,

only to be stabbed

in the same place, again?

The pool of blame links

his door with mine;

seeps down the stairs,

and out,

to all the other

apartments.
