Quite Dark With Amber

All spine in winter,
ice moved through branches
in the afternoon
quite dark with amber
lights and navy leaves.

Frost treads close against
the pane and I knead
the fine points on your
bark 'til our cells touch
and worry the cool:

Quite dark with amber
