      Ar Ais Arís

D’aithnigh an madra í,

Chraith sé a ruball,

Rith a máthair amach

Go dtí an cabhsa.

A gruaig bán liath

I mbliain amháin

Á lámh sínte aici.

D’fhan a hathair

sa teach.

Labhair sé

Nuair a chuaigh sí

Isteach sa chistín.

Ach anois ní cuimhin léi,

Cáidé a dúirt sé.
