Code of Behaviour

The Dignity in the Workplace CODE OF BEHAVIOUR is a robust standard for how allegations of abuse should be dealt with throughout the arts and creative sectors. It was developed so all those working in the arts can be clear as to their rights and obligations regarding respect and dignity at work. The Munster Literature Centre, in partnership with the Arts Council and our fellow constituent organisations in Words Ireland, was involved in devising this code for the literature sector in Ireland and we have formally signed up for the code here: safetocreate.ie.
All authors and workshops involved with our events will be issued with a copy of this code. Staff (temporary and permanent), volunteers and interns will also be issued with this document, along with a staff handbook on safety and dignity in the workplace.
