The Cork International Poetry Festival reading of Shangyang Fang & Jennifer Lee Tsai at 8.30pm 13th May has been changed. Unfortunately, Shangyang Fang is unable to attend as previously advertised. However, we are happy to say that Jane Springer will now be reading alongside Jennifer Lee Tsai. https://www.corkpoetryfest.net/wednesday.html
Jane Springer is author of three prize-winning poetry collections: Dear Blackbird, Murder Ballad, and Moth. Her work’s been featured in The Best American Poetry and Pushcart anthologies, and she’s received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, MacDowell, and the Whiting Foundation. She lives in central New York where she teaches literature and creative writing at Hamilton College.

“In Moth, Jane Springer uses shaped poems, prose poems, and poems with unusual structures to soar through time and the natural world. Yet, while her lines are aesthetically playful, she examines serious subjects, including our destruction of the environment, the widening and divisive gulf between socioeconomic classes, and the further injustices thrust upon those already suffering in society. ” — LSU Press
